All the generic fields of LiveForms:

In the form edit mode, you can find Generic fields after the commonly used fields list.

If you want to add any of them in the current form click on the “plus(+)” or “drag and drop” them to the right side form fields area.

The details about the all the generic field are being discussed below.

Text:

This is a simple generic text field. It is used as a single line input field.

 

Properties of the field:

After clicking on green color settings icon from the top-right of the field, you can find some options there.

 

Label:

You can refer the field name as you want.

 

Note:

The text in the note will appear below of the label in the view.

 

Conditional Logic:

This section discussed here.

 

Required:

If checked, this will ensure that the user completed the field before allowing the form to be submitted.

 

Validation:

If you check the field as required, you can see data validation option.It will validate data before submission of the form. You can validate the user input as Text, Numeric, Email, URL or Date. You can also put a message that will pop up if the user doesn’t fill up the form with valid data.

 

Icon:

You can select a unique icon for every field of the form. It can be placed before or after the field. You can choose the icon from the list of predefined icon items.

 

 

 

 

Textarea:

It is same as a text field, But it can take more user input as a paragraph.

This is generic single line field. You can only give validation as a number here.

This is a special field for password input. There are password and confirm password field built in which hide user input with big dot out of the box.

You can refer the field name as you want. But it will not change the original fields name as they are unique and used for password input.

This list allows the user to select only one option. You can add as many options as need.
