In the event that an employee falls ill while at work and can’t drive themselves home, or if they are absent from work for several days, it’s crucial to have a plan in place for who to contact. One effective method of ensuring that you have the necessary information is by creating an employee emergency contact form. This form will help you to collect the contact information of your employee’s family member or a friend and control the situation in a more convenient way.

In this article will provide you with step-by-step guidance on how to create an employee emergency form using the LiveForms plugin.

What is Employee Emergency Form?

An Employee Emergency Contact Form is a document that employers use to collect emergency contact information for their employees. It typically includes the name and phone number of a person who employers can contact in case of an emergency, as well as any relevant medical information or special instructions.

The purpose of the form is to ensure that employers have a way to quickly contact someone close to the employee in case of an emergency, such as a workplace accident or a medical emergency. This information can be critical in ensuring that the employee receives prompt medical attention or other necessary support.

Employers may also use the information collected on the form to contact an employee’s emergency contact in case the employee is unable to communicate, such as during a natural disaster or other emergency situation. Overall, an emergency employee contact form is an important document that helps employers ensure the safety and well-being of their employees.

Why Use an Employee Emergency Contact Form?

An emergency contact form for employees is a useful tool for employers to have on file for each of their employees. The purpose of this form is to collect contact information for the employee’s designated emergency contact in case of an emergency situation that may occur during work hours.

There are several reasons why employers use an Employee Emergency Contact Form, including:

Contact in case of an emergency: If an employee becomes ill or injured while at work, it’s important to have contact information for someone who employers can reach in case of an emergency.

Notification in case of an emergency: In the event of a workplace emergency, such as a natural disaster or security breach, the emergency contact may need to be notified of the employee’s status or whereabouts.

Authorization for emergency medical treatment: In some cases, the emergency contact may need to provide consent for emergency medical treatment if the employee is unable to do so themselves.

Employee well-being: Collecting emergency contact information shows that an employer cares about the well-being of their employees and is prepared to take action in case of an emergency.

What to Ask for on an Employee Emergency Contact Form?

An emergency contact form for employees typically includes several fields that employers should ask for in order to effectively contact an employee’s emergency contact in case of an emergency. Some of the information that an emergency employee contact form should include are:

Employee Information: This includes the employee’s full name, employee ID number, job title, department, and work location.

Emergency Contact Name: This includes the full name of the emergency contact person, their relationship to the employee (such as spouse, parent, or sibling), and their contact information.

Phone Numbers: The employee’s primary phone number, as well as the emergency contact’s phone number should be included. It’s also a good idea to include an alternate phone number for the emergency contact, in case the primary number is not reachable.

Address: The address of the emergency contact should be included, in case a notification or information needs to be sent.

Why We will use LiveForms?

To build the form we’ll use the WordPress LiveForms plugin. Because using live forms for building forms offers several benefits over traditional form-building methods. With live forms, you can see how your form will look and function in real time. As you make changes to your form, you can instantly see how those changes will affect its appearance and usability. It also comes with pre-built Contact form template and drag-and-drop functionality, making it easy to customize your form without needing extensive coding skills. This can save you time and effort, especially if you need to create forms frequently.

How to Create an Employee Emergency Contact Form:

To start creating an employee emergency contact form, first, you need to install and activate Live Foms.

Upon activation of the plugin, you will see the “Forms” menu on the admin menu bar. Go to “Forms >> Add New”, where you will see ready-to-use form templates like login form, contact form, donation form, and support form. Now, click on the “Start Form Ground” option.

Once you click, you will be redirected to the form builder page. Enter the form name first. Now on the form builder page, you’ll see three types of form fields section.

Drag & drop the form fields you need for your employee emergency contact form.

Live Forms offer multiple options for setting form fields. To go to the form field settings option, hover over the form field and you’ll see the “Settings” button on the right side of the form field.

There you’ll see multiple settings option including Label, Placeholder text, Note, Conditional Logic, etc.

After completing the form building you can customize the form submission button. You can also configure the settings for your form, such as who should receive notifications when the form is submitted and what should happen after the form is submitted.

Once you are done click the “Save Form” button on the upper right corner of the form.

To publish the form click on the “Embed” button and copy the shortcode.

Now, paste the shortcode on the page and publish it. And here your form is ready.

Often website owners need to collect tons of information from users through forms. But when users see forms with many fields they tend to be scared and leave your website without filling the form.

What could be the solution to get all the information you want without scaring the users away?

That’s where multi-page forms came in handy. Multi-page forms only display a part of form fields at the first glance so that it becomes easier to fill out for your users. Not only that, it helps increase engagement and improve the user experience.

In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to create a multi-page form for your WordPress site with Live Forms. But before that let’s see why you should set up a multi-step form.

Reasons Why You Should Set Up a Multi-Page Form:

Forms are one of the best ways to collect users’ information. But when you add tons of form fields to a form, it can be annoying for your users. So, instead of creating a long form you should consider creating a multi-page form. Here is why____

It provides the well-organized layout

Help you to group the questions into specific topics and ask genuine questions from your users.

Reduces form abandonment rate by displaying a limited number of form fields

Offers a better user experience and encourage your website visitor to fill out the form

As it offers a better user experience certainly boosts your website conversion rates

How to Create a Multi-Page Form for Your WordPress Site?

As we have mentioned earlier, in this tutorial we will use the Live Forms plugin to create a multi-page form for the WordPress site. Now, you might be thinking that why we are using Live Forms for creating the multi-page form?

Because, where most of the form builder plugins provide the multi-page form feature in the premium version, Live Forms offer that feature for both free and paid version. Its drag and drop feature takes only a few seconds to build a form. Moreover, with the Live Forms, you just need to click a button to make your form a multi-page form, whereas other form builders make the process lengthy and tricky.

Step -1: Install and Activate the Live Forms Plugin

To start creating a multi-page form for your WordPress site, you need to install and activate the Live Forms. Live Forms provide the multi-page form feature on both free and paid version. So you can easily install the plugin from WordPress.org.

To install Live forms, navigate to “Plugins> Add New” and then search for the Live Forms plugin. Once you find the plugin, just install and activate it.

After activation, the “Forms” menu will appear on your admin dashboard.

Step- 2: Creating a Multi-Page Form WordPress Site

Now, it’s time to start creating the multi-page form. For that, go to “Forms > Add New” and simply select a form template. If you don’t want to choose a template and start creating Formby yourself then click on “Start From the Ground”.

Once the form builder page appears, the first thing you need to do is add a title for the form. For this tutorial, we are going to create a multi-page School Admission Form.

As we have added the form title, you need to add form fields to your form. But before that, you need to go to the “Setting > Look and Feel” and check the “Enable multi-page form” option. It will allow you to create the multi-page form.

Now, to add form fields, check the “FIELDS” option on the left side of your screen. Live Forms offers three types of form fields to its users:

Commonly Used Fields and Generic Fields are for both free and premium version users.

Advanced Fields are for only premium version users.

As we all know, Web forms collect data from users. In this digital era, data is not only about text files. Data can be in text format, images, audio, or even videos. So, it’s necessary to allow your users to file upload in your WordPress form.

Suppose you offer online courses and want to collect coursework from your students. It’d be handy for you and your students, to give them the ability to upload files to your website via a form. There is many more aspects where allowing file upload can make things easy for you.

But do you know how to let your website visitors upload file attachments to your WordPress form?

No worries. In this article, we will show you how you can allow your users to attach files in your WordPress website’s form without even giving them backend access. So let’s start the tutorial!

Why you should Allow File Uploading in Your WordPress Form?

There are many reasons why you might need to let your users upload a file to your WordPress site. Here are some of the most common examples:

Job Application Form where candidates can upload their resume and cover letter.

Online Admission Form where candidates can upload photos and documents.

Online Courses Form to receive course works.

Contest or Plugin Giveaway Forms where users can attach pictures as image files.

User Submission Forms where users can attach a blog post or image they want to share.

Customer Services Forms where prospective clients can upload documents providing extra information to help your organization understand their issues and get the correct support.

CSV File Upload Forms where visitors can send you orders or timesheets.

Partnership Forms where potential affiliating businesses and companies can attach their partnership proposals.

Ideally, we all want to keep our visitors on our website as long as possible. But for most of the visitors, form filling is an exhausting process, and adding an extra field makes it even worse. That is why you need to simplify things for your visitors to encourage them to provide vital information for your form.

On the other hand, sending a separate email with file attachments is pretty time-consuming and inconvenient for both your user and you. Instead of that, you can create forms that include all the fields you need, so you can collect all information at once. Allowing file upload in WordPress form is one of the best ways to make it easier for you and your users to get more info quickly. Using the file upload form field you can let users upload images, PDF files, Word documents, or other types of files. Moreover, your form will automatically save the form data in your WordPress database.

Why Do You Need a Plugin for Building File Upload Form?

Building HTML forms with an upload field are not easy. You need to have a basic knowledge of HTML. Moreover, adding a file upload form in WordPress to a plain HTML/CSS website took hours of coding.

On the other hand, using a form builder on your site requires nothing complex. It takes only a few moments to build a form using WordPress form builder plugins. It not only saves your time but also energy in creating forms on your site. Also, your user can easily add media to your form without facing any hassle. Plus, they do a lot more than just upload files.

Which is the Best Plugin for Building WordPress File Upload Form?

To easily create custom forms that work as a frontend uploader, you need the right WordPress form builder plugin. For that, we recommend you the Live Forms plugin.

Congratulations! You are ready to build your own file upload form.

Step-2: Create a File Upload Form

In this step, we will show you how to create a file upload form. For that, go to “Forms > Add New”. On the following page, you will see different types of ready-to-use templates. For now, click on “Start From Ground”.

Now, you will be redirected to the form building page. Here you will be able to add form fields by simply dragging the fields and dropping them to the desired position.

Firstly, add the form name in the text box right beside the “Form Name” option. For this tutorial, we are building a photo contest form. So, we have named the form “Photo Contest Form”.

Live Forms offers you lots of form fields in three different categories. Just drag and drop the fields you need. Try to make your form as simple as possible. We are just adding the name, email, and file upload field.

Now, take the curser on each field, you will see the setting button for each of them on the right side of the field. Once you click the setting button, you will see a list of setting options on the left side of the screen.

Label – To help your site visitor distinguish the form field’s purpose by naming it.

Placeholder Text – To demonstrate how information should be.

Note- To give a description explaining what the field is all about.

Note Position – Place where you want the note to be shown.

Max Filesize – To specify the file size to be uploaded by your visitors. This setting defaults to MB.

Allowed Extensions – To set the type of file you want to allow your users to upload.

Condition Logic – To set up when to show and hide any field based on the input.

Required – This setting is to make uploading a file a requirement.

Once you have completed field settings, you can customize the submit button from below the form.

You will get different options for customizing your form such as form description, successful form submission message, email notification setting, form’s look, etc.

Step-3: Customize Form Fields

Once you have added your form fields, it’s time to customize them. For that, click on each form field and you will see three different options. The first option will be the setting options, click on that.

After clicking the setting option, the Field Settings tab will be open on the left side of the screen. You can customize label, placeholder text, note, note position, default value, and custom CSS classes.

For the payment form field, you will get an additional setting option called “Payment Options”. Here, you have to set up your payment method. By default, Live Forms offer Paypal as a payment gateway.

However, you can also integrate the Stripe add-on in your payment method for permitting credit cards payments quickly.

Step- 4: Enable Conditional Logic

Live Forms comes with smart conditional logic. Conditional logic provides only relevant form fields to the users depending on their previous answers. That means if a user replies to a question as “True”, it will initiate a corresponding next step.

Sometimes you may want to add an optional payment to your form. That’s where the conditional logic comes in handy.

To enable conditional logic, head over to the “Field Settings” option and scroll down. Once you locate it, check the option, it will expand the section to add the conditions. You can add conditions there. If you want to add more conditional logic, press the “Add New Condition”.

Step-5: Say Thank You

It’s always beautiful to say Thank You. You can say “thank you” as a form submission confirmation message when a customer submits the form. To do that, go to “Settings > Basic Settings” and enter the submission message.

To save your online payment form, click on the “Save Form” button.

Now your form is ready to publish. Click on the “Embed” button and copy the shortcode. Then go to the page you want to publish the form and paste the copied shortcode.

Web forms are one of the must-haves for a WordPress website. At the same time, they are one of the most underestimated elements of a website. Most owners don’t realize that properly designed web forms could be the difference between success and abject failure.

Whether your site’s purpose is about traveling, entertainment, informing, persuading, or marketing, you must have to interact with your website visitors to know their stance, draw their attention to drive them to the action that you want them to do. If you want to interact with your website visitors efficiently, website forms come first to the spot. A form is one of the best ways to get input from prospective clients and indirectly establish a cordial relation with them.

Probably you already have a basic WordPress contact form on your WordPress website, also a form builder plugin. But do you know the number of different ways you can use this form builder other than your contact form? Wondering what are the different types of WordPress forms you can use and why need them?

You might be surprised to learn how many different types of forms you can add to websites. So if you’re looking to boost your website’s success, check out all these different kinds of WordPress forms to grow your business. Below are some of the different online forms you can use for your website, along with some tips you should know to make sure you’re doing it right.

Tips for Styling Web Forms:

Before going to discuss what type of forms you need on your website, you should learn some tips for styling your forms. While creating a form with a WordPress Form Plugin you should consider the following best practices:

Never include too many fields on a form. Keep the form simple and straightforward.

Never use redundant fields on the form. It’s important to incorporate only the necessary fields and discard those with little value. Users are likely to respond better to a form with most relevant questions.

Give attention to the design to ensure that users fill out the form with enthusiasm. The design of the form should be clean, uncluttered, and visually appealing.

Sometimes you have to embellish your form with a lot of consequential fields but online users are less likely to spend much time on a single web page. So, multi-step forms work best when the form is too long. But, keep the steps within two or three so that you can have more conversions.

In many cases, some of the form fields may be unnecessary for particular users. It’s a good practice to hide the unnecessary elements. Conditional logic allows you to hide and show the elements in your way and users only have to fill out their required fields. Now, thinking how to make a form with conditional logic? No worries! Check Make A Smart Form With Conditional Logic.

Types of Forms Every WordPress Website Need:

Most website owners don’t give attention to web forms. But they can be a game-changer for your business. Here are some common types of web forms which can help you in growing your business.

Contact Form:

Contact form is the most basic form that every website needs. I would say it’s a mandatory form for every website. A simple contact form is the first step for your customers to easily reach you without spammers skimming your email address.

With a contact form, you can ask users for certain details, such as their name, contact information, and order number. They may also have a drop-down or text-entry field for leads to explain their reason for reaching out and their preferred method of contact. How To Create A Contact Form In WordPress? is the easiest tutorial on creating a contact form. You can check that tutorial if you don’t know how to create one.

Why use a contact form? Contact forms are used for leads to ask your business a question, voice a concern or even explain their need for a refund. To know more about why you need a contact form on your website, I request you to check this article. It will clear out all of your confusion regarding why you need a contact form.

User Registration Form:

A user registration form is a form located on a web page making it possible for someone to fill it out and begin the opt-in subscription process. A user would complete a registration form if they were interested in your service. It’s a subscription box you can add to your site, blog, or social page to collect new email subscribers. User registration form builds high-value email lists.

With a user registration form, you can ask for personal information in exchange for accessing content or services. Designers have to figure out a way to encourage people to fill registration forms out. Before asking them for any information, it is very important to provide them a reason why they should register. In other words, sum up the benefits of registering with your site in 1 or 2 sentences at most.

If you’re a business that requires membership, you can also utilize this form. It doesn’t put pressure on your customers to commit right away. You can always send them marketing communications in the future to drive them towards a purchase decision.

Lastly, e-commerce websites also rely heavily on user registration forms because they’re a mandatory step before any purchase, which is why we’ll cover those aspects as well. If a lead was looking to list an item on one of these sites, they would complete a registration form to create an account and then post the item. Take an example of any of the Social Media websites, users can’t get engaged with these platforms unless they create an account.

The best place to add an email signup form is somewhere prominent on your website, like your sidebar. To generate maximum signups, you have to minimize the steps involved in registering, and at the same time, make the most of the few elements you do use. When you create a registration option specific, you know signups are definitely interested in receiving your content, via email! No need for asking the user to re-type their email address or password!

User Login Form:

A user login form is also a type of WordPress sign-in form on your website that allows previously registered users to sign in with their credentials to access. It is a door that users must open to get the best out of their user experience with a website. It is the starting point of navigating a website in a personalized manner. By creating an account on a website, a user gets to customize some aspects of experience with the site and get access to membership benefits.

The User login form contains a field for the username and another for the password. When the login form is submitted its underlying code checks that the credentials are authentic, giving the user can access to the restricted page. If a user is unable to provide authentic credentials they will not be able to proceed past the login form.

In that case, it would be a hassle to contact support just because users don’t remember their passwords. This is the reason why you’ll have to implement a ‘Forgot your password?’ function on the login screen. When users click it, they should receive a link in their email that lets them change their credentials and log in to the website without further issues.

To reduce the number of people who request to change their passwords because they forgot them, it would be best to add a ‘Remember me’ option at the end of the login form. Once checked, this option saves the credentials, and each time that person accesses the page, their email and password will pop up in the form, or they will show up as already logged in. Check How To Create A Custom User Login Form in WordPress Website? to create your website’s custom user login form.

Newsletter Signup Form:

When we talk about newsletter signup, we’re referring to a process by which visitors elect to receive updates from an online business through email. Newsletter signup is a core component of every successful email marketing strategy. Since online businesses can’t establish bonds as brick-and-mortar stores do, they need a reliable channel to engage with their target audience and incentivize them to buy their products.

You never know the people visiting your website today, will ever come back again or not. A newsletter is a great way to convert one-time visitors into repeat visitors. Starting an email newsletter will allow you to bring them back to your website, and convert them into customers. Once they join the newsletter, you will be able to stay in touch and bring them back to your website.

Newsletter signup forms are quite simplistic, only ever requiring one or two fields for users to submit. Visitors can only enter their email addresses and hit subscribe. Try to place your newsletter signup form on the page a customer visits the most. If they came across your website’s blog using a keyword search, you can add the newsletter signup form as part of your CTA. At the same time, if they just purchased a product from you, you can include it during the ordering process or confirmation email.

Online Order Form:

Online order forms do exactly what it sounds like, they allow your website visitors to place orders. If you’re selling products or services online, you probably want to focus more on fulfilling your orders rather than the process of collecting them. Including an online order form on your WordPress website, give your prospects the choice to buy at their convenience.

Online order forms help customers easily place their orders whether they’re using desktops or mobile devices and provide you with sufficient information about the order to fulfill it quickly and efficiently. Order forms should be detailed and may include credit card, shipping, and billing information, and your contact information. So, they also provide customers with a way to pay for items and have the products they have ordered sent directly to them. That’s why having a website order form is essential for a growing business.

Customer Feedback Form:

Customer feedback plays a wonderful role in improving your business by letting you modify your approach based on their opinion. It helps improve product development, marketing, operations and so much more. The best option to make sure you can fully understand your product or service marketplace is to obtain qualitative and honest customer feedback. However, it’s one of the most important aspects of running a business that often gets overlooked.

So how can you be sure your customer service strategies are working? How do you know if your customers are happy with their experiences in your company? What do they like and dislike about your products or services? And more importantly, how can you best keep up with their ever-changing requirements?

The most important way of fully understanding a customer’s perception of your brand is by asking them directly, and the best way to simply hear the voice of your customer is through their own feedback. This is where you need a customer feedback form. When there is a good custom design form, users tend to give information and it is useful in deciding your business’s next steps in performance assessment. Even if just a few people care to respond, you’ll already get a better idea of which step might be the bottleneck for higher conversions.

Job Application Form:

A job application form is part of the formal hiring process where an official form is given to the prospective candidate to drop their resumes. Using this simple form prospective employees can apply for a job easily.

Employers use job application forms as a means to discover new employees. Using these forms gives employers a better way of narrowing down the best applicants for employment. It’s a great way to qualify applicants quickly and efficiently.

Simply add a file upload field to your job application form and you can get resumes right on your website. These file upload fields let you accept job applications or other documents, right on your website through your forms. So you can gather and organize resumes, references, and other docs before even reaching out to candidates. Also, you can ask for the candidate’s name, email, and phone number on this form. You can even request certain information that is not always included on resumes and CVs on your job application form.

Donation Form:

A donation form is a key tool you use to collect information to process a donation. It meant to make the donation process as smooth and simple as possible. Just like with order and payment forms, your customer’s information should be safely secured in an organized database. That information can be your gateway to offering them more opportunities such as event invites and other donations they can place in the future.

Donation forms should be straightforward. If your donation form is straightforward and user-friendly, your donors will likely have a great giving experience. Everything on your donation form must have a purpose in completing the financial transaction and capturing any pertinent donor data.

A chaotic form will just leave you with a bunch of frustrated would-be donors. And it definitely won’t do much to convert your current donors into lifelong friends of your organization. Any extra questions you’d like to ask your donors, such as their preferred communication preferences and philanthropic affinities, should be left until after the donation is processed. To create one without any hassle, check How To Create A Donation Form for your WordPress Website.

Event Registration Form:

No matter what kind of website you run, you’ll probably want to organize an event of some kind sooner. The actual event could be anything like a fundraiser, online webinar, tournament, live raffle, or even a community meet-up. Even though you have put a great deal of thought, time, and exertion into arranging your event, it’s time to come up with an online form that focused on dealing with your attendees. It should effortlessly convey event-specific information like time, venue, event schedule, etc.

Putting on an event can be a challenging task, but with an online form focused on managing your attendees, you easily deliver event-specific information such as rationale and basic details. If you have a better form design, better are the chances to increase attendee registration. So, building an effective event registration form is important and you need a good form design that keeps registrants moving towards the ‘Submit’ button without much thought or effort.

Support Request Form:

Do you want to serve better support your customers? When your customers are already using your product or service, they may have technical questions very often. It will be a long process to search for a contact email address and inform you about their problem. To shorten that process, all you need to do is using this support request form. It’s much easier for your customer to send a request using an online form rather than search for a contact email address.

A support form allows your customers to send a specific request that generates a ticket or sends an email to your ticketing system. You can direct different problems to a different department if you have them. Customers can get a quick return receipt that helps them feel that someone will respond soon. So, if you’re looking for ways to make your audience a bit happier, placing one will bring a lot of conveniences.

We have released WordPress Live Forms (v.4.4.4) with exclusive new features. The most attractive feature of this update is the multiple-column form feature. With this feature, you can add multiple form fields in a column. The best part is this feature is available for both Free and Pro Version. So, let’s see how you can create a multiple-column form with this new release.

How to Create Multiple-Column Form:

First of all, go to your admin dashboard and click on the ‘Start From Ground’.

Once you redirect to the form building page, add a name for the form.

Creating a custom login page replaces the generic WordPress login page and helps you to display a consistent brand to your users. Also, gives your site a more professional appearance. If you add a custom login page, you can add more fields to get more information from your users so that you get more authentic users.

In this article, we will explain to you why should you add a custom login page and how can we easily create a custom login page in WordPress.

Why You Should Add Custom Login Form on Your WordPress Site?

All WordPress websites have the same login page, a simple login form with the WordPress logo above. Since that login page is generic, it’s difficult to tell which website you’re signing into. The custom login form can significantly influence the attitude of visitors towards your brand. Users will trust the company more if the website’s login form is safe to use and ensures the security of all personal data. As a result, you’ll improve the credibility of your brand.

Along with a better user interface, you easily can add ReCpatcha or a simple math captcha to protect the login form from bots and spammers. Also You can add convenient navigation to make logging in more comfortable for your audience. People like it when things are clear and understandable so a custom login form can be much more attractive to the users than the default one.

Marketing & advertising & in general the entire communications industry is ever-changing. Because of this, professionals find themselves having to adapt again & again to consumer behavior. In the beginning, these two industries were one-way communication streets, but with the development of technology, this has changed. Feedbacks allowed professionals to gain valuable insight into the lives of consumers & to take advantage of this in order to become better salesmen. Data mining was the game to be played.

As time has passed, technology evolved & we have more & more advanced tools & means of collecting data. From simple names, emails, or addresses, we can gather more complex details such as shopping habits, search patterns & even face recognition software & hardware. Over the past few years, it’s been all about finding out what’s making consumers tick, collecting as much data as possible about them in order to create highly targetable & personalized marketing messages.

With the recession, marketing departments are more often than not forced into making decisions based solely on data to avoid unneeded spendings. Phrases such as Return on Investment (ROI) or Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) are on everyone’s tongues & lists of KPIs. This has made marketing professionals run around after consumer data, having the belief that once they’ve accumulated enough, they’ll know exactly the WHYs, HOWs, WHENs & WHEREs of selling somebody a product or a service. When in truth all this has really accomplished is gain little analyzable data at the cost of being called intrusive.

Shifting Towards Smart Data Marketing

That being said, a slight repositioning on the same direction is necessary because data alone is no longer enough. The industry needs to shift from making data driven decisions to smart data marketing. This shift needs to be made because massive volumes of data come with a set of difficulties. Besides being too large to analyze & interpret with traditional statistical analysis, it is painstakingly hard to pinpoint exact actionable information. In other words, after hours of data analysis, you’ll be left in a sea of percentages & with no clear way in which to steer your boat in order to make them better. & smart data marketing is the answer because it offers a stronger signal for your boat to follow, savvy?

Smart data marketing is nothing more but a metamorphosis of big data into something more actionable. Furthermore, smart data marketing tops Google’s top marketing predictions for 2016, announcing it’s official arrival in the professional practice limelight. To be perfectly understood, data will still remain a priority, it’s just that “big” has turned to “smart” data. & the overwhelming amount of data gathered turns into a clearer set of data with a stronger signal, making it more easily interpretable & actionable.

Therefore, marketers need to take their focus off “collect all the customer data we can” & towards “what data will help our customers experience our brands”. & in the latest marketing trends one word has stood out more than any other, “experience”.

Application of Smart Data Marketing

Let’s look at an example. You could have a survey on a website, asking visitors a set of focused questions. Questions that are designed to reveal more need-based information, like visitor intent. The survey will reveal a clearer set of data, they will be user-led & easy to leverage, offering a more straightforward approach to data interpretation. This, in turn, gives marketers a clearer picture of what needs to be done next.

Collecting this type of data provides a stronger signal because it is the visitor who inputs the answers, & data is not submitted to interpretations that have a possibility to be wildly inaccurate. This is just one example & it is only applicable to a narrow set of situations, but the exploitation potential for qualitative data is immense. What needs to be applied in order to transform big data into smart data is context.

Considering the context when collecting data could hugely benefit not only your company as a whole, but customer experience. & we all know the benefits yielded by great customer experience. When using smart data marketing, take context into account, take data collection issues into account & follow the best practices for data analysis, data interpretation & statistics.

Gathering data is one half of the business, but it is the first half. So you have to start somewhere, build a form, publish it on your website, publish it on Facebook (we hear these ones are great) & be well on your way to successfully use smart data marketing, it’s the new thing!

Step 2: Create Your Custom Donation Form

In the next step, you will need to create a donation form. For this, go to Forms ► Add new and then give a title of your custom form.

Next, you have to start adding fields for your form. For building a simple donation form you will need the following fields as,

Name

Email

Payment amount

Now, to add these fields ,you have to just click on the plus (+) icon of the field or drag-and-drop them into the main editing area.

After adding those fields, make sure that you have clicked on the Save button for saving the changes.

Step 3: Setting Up The Payment Integration

After creating the custom donation form, next, you have to set up your payment method for donations. In WordPress live Forms plugin, the default payment gateway is Paypal.

However, the most common payment gateway is Stripe. You can also integrate stripe addon in your payment method for permitting credit cards payments quickly.

Step 4: Setting Up A Thank You Page as well as A Thank you Email

Giving Thanks to donors is a wonderful way to show your gratitude and to describe how the money will be spent in-depth. Not only this if you appreciate their donation through the thank you email as well as a message they will be more likely to donate again.

On WordPress live forms, you can quickly customize the thank you message. Here you can set up the message both instantly after submitting the form as well as through email.

To set up the thank you message, go to the donation form and navigate on settings option from the upper side of your form. Once you have clicked on the Settings button, you will see a new Form Settings window opened where you can write your form description, submission message of form submit and even you can set up a page that appears to your customers when they submit the form.

Now write a thank you note on the Successful Form Submission message option. Here you can also add an image below of your note.

Not only this, this plugin also allows you to create a custom page for thank you note through the redirect to field.

To add more, you can use the Email notification settings of this plugin to write a thank you mail to the donors email.

Step 5: Insert The Donation Form On Your WordPress Post Or Page

Once your donation form is fully completed, you can now add it on your website as you need. Simply go to Forms►all Forms and then copy the shortcode of your donation form. Next, create a post/page in WordPress and then paste the shortcode of the donation form on it.

That’s it. You have created your nonprofit donation form for your WordPress website.

Conclusion
